Bio

I’m Jay Tobin, a multimedia designer and programmer based out of Brooklyn, New York. I’m also the founder of dayflower studio, a creative digital agency.

My work has been featured at ARS Electronica NYC, taught at Millennium Film Workshop, and commissioned by apps like Where The Wild Love Is. I specialize in web-based creative coding, procedural soundscapes; digital instrument building in Max/MSP; and building games and interactive projects in Unity.

I graduated with a MFA in Design and Technology from Parsons in 2022, after completing my Bachelor’s in Musical Technology from The New School in 2020.

I recently wrapped up my passion project polyMorph — a free, generative software instrument designed for both live performance and studio use. Right now, I’m all about pushing out freeware plug-ins, performing with the live code community, and forging new client relationships for dayflower studio. I also have a newsletter!
